Now that we have had a chance to service your property, please be sure to keep any documentation of warranty for possible follow-up service if necessary. In addition, the details of our Limited Service Warranty are below, for your review.

Getz Statement of Limited Warranty

  • What Does the Getz Limited Warranty Cover?

    This Limited Warranty applies to services, and only services, delivered by Getz Sewer & Water Repair, LLC, by means of work completed by its employees and/or subcontractors. This includes coverage of any discovered defects in workmanship while under normal use during the minimum warranty period from the date of completion. During the Warranty Period, Getz will repair or replace, at no charge, components of the plumbing service system that have proved defective because of improper workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.

  • What Does this Limited Warranty Not Cover?

    Our Limited Warranty does not cover any defects in materials purchased for use for main line repair, replacement, installation, or other/additional plumbing services provided while performing a main line repair, purchase, or installation. *While Getz shall be free from liability due to manufacturing defects of any such products, we may offer additional services to assist in repairing or replacing faulty products used. See the section: “What Can Getz Do If the Warranty is not Applicable?”

  • Warranty Period–How Long Does the Coverage Last?

    Unless otherwise stated on other Getz documentation (such as a written project estimate), the Warranty Period for services is a minimum of 5 years. Any work done to replace a product to ensure proper functionality under normal use and maintenance of that part/plumbing system will fall under the remaining warranty of the original service provided, or 5 years from the date of replacement or repair, whichever is longer. 

  • How Do I Take Advantage of My Warranty Coverage?

    To obtain warranty service, please contact our office at 616-439-4389 or office@getzsewerandwater.com to schedule a warranty follow-up appointment. There is no cost for this appointment, as we will need to assess the situation in order to identify the problem and confirm whether your warranty is applicable or not.

  • What Can Getz Do If the Warranty Is Not Applicable?

    As previously stated, this Limited Warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by a malfunction or damage resulting from defects in materials used in service repairs. 


    However, while Getz is not liable for problems caused by defective parts (as these parts have standard manufacturer’s warranty durations), we will be happy to investigate to help determine the source of the problem, as long as the plumbing lines we previously serviced (and which are suspected of damage) are still under warranty.


    If the lines serviced are outside of their warranty period, we would still be happy to provide a free quote for the services needed. Any such service will thus be billed as a new project, and will have its own invoice amount, along with a new warranty coverage period.)


    If it is determined that the problem is due to faulty materials–caused by manufacturing defects, or untimely wear–we will inform you of this. You may wish to register a complaint with the manufacturer of the products that were used.


    Your access to proper plumbing services is still important to us. If you wish, Getz can give you a new estimate for the cost to make necessary repairs, and we will work to help you restore proper access to water and/or sewer service lines.


  • Ways a Warranty Could be Voided

    The following conditions will render any Getz Warranty as null and void, regardless of the duration of the warranty issued:


    • Unpaid or Disputed Balances


    Failure to pay the balance in full for services provided, or allowing any disputed balance to remain unresolved, will nullify any warranty of services performed that are included in the balance. The warranty may be reinstated, however, upon payment in full of such a balance—upon the discretion of an authorized Getz representative.


    • Failure to Properly Use or Maintain Facilities


    In some cases, Getz will recommend a course of product care or maintenance to help ensure the duration of the service lines installed or repaired. Failure to follow these recommended care and maintenance guidelines will nullify any warranty intended to cover those portions of service lines.


    • Failure to Contact Getz Sewer & Water Repair


    If you suspect there is an issue with any components of your plumbing system that Getz has worked on and warrantied, you must contact Getz first. Contacting another individual, company or contractor not authorized by Getz to perform work without express permission of Getz will nullify any warranty issued to cover said plumbing components. 


    • Failure to Contact Getz Promptly


    You should contact Getz immediately upon discovery of a suspected issue, or within a reasonable span of time, in order to allow us to determine whether the problem discovered is indeed in connection with a recent installation or repair of plumbing service lines by Getz. (A “reasonable span of time” can vary, depending on the type of work done, and the nature of the project, but generally should not exceed 3 to 6 months.)
